Brave Ranch by Little Warriors

How Can We Help the Little Warriors? VOTE! http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf13859

OVERVIEW:

Little Warriors is a national organization committed to the awareness, prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.

Child sexual abuse contributes to the staggering costs to our society - costs that affect each of us as tax payers amounting to billions of dollars per year. Did you know that 70% of excessive drug/alcohol users, 76% of prostitutes and 60% of people with anxiety and panic disorder have a history of child sexual abuse?

We need help from all across Canada to help stop this growing epidemic that is affecting 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys

How can we as a community empower change and be a part of a solution?  Work is underway to develop the first of its kind legacy project -The Be Brave Ranch- a health and wellness project dedicated to the treatment of sexually abused children who desperately need help.

Treatment Programs for the Be Brave Ranch:
•Focus on high risk children and youth age 6-17.
•Three core treatment programs:
            •Intake and assessment.
•24/7 wrap around care treatment for 30 days.
             •Post treatment aftercare.
•Validation of Treatment Programs:
            •Research and evidence based.
             •Scientifically proven interventions.
•Professionals in the field of health care to provide
guidance and input into the programs offered.
•Core treatment programs to be supervised, tested and monitored by Dr. Peter Silverstone, University of Alberta Professor.
•Enhancement through ongoing program research, testing and development.

As we build a bridge between urgency and action, let’s build the $3.4 million Be Brave Ranch. To date, 1.3 million dollars has been raised. As a society we have to ask ourselves do we want to pay a billion dollars, or, a million dollars? Please help to support the Be Brave Ranch by Little Warriors.
